The game is too hard and pointless. As another reviewer said, you just fight bad guys in each level. It is too dark.

My 5 year old was excited about getting this game -- he loves Bolt. It does not look like he has fun playing it, and has already given up on it. Maybe 10 year old expert gamers would think it is fun, but I feel ripped off.

It helps if you go online and get the cheat codes, so that you can play at all the levels.

Summary: The kids want to sell it
Comment: My kids received Bolt (girls ages 8 & 10) for the Wii. Within a week or so of playing it off and on they both lost interest. The characters are hard for them to control; the scenes are very dark, like you're playing in a dark room or outside at night, and the game is just for one person. What a shame they didn't design it to be a two person game like so many other Wii games. If you loved the Bolt movie, don't expect the Wii game to be like the movie. It's more based on the TV show that Penny and Bolt are actors in IN the movie. Lots of fighting/battles against throngs of bad guys; once you beat up one room of bad guys you move to another room of bad guys and do it again.

Maybe my kids just aren't involved enough gamers to get a kick out of Bolt. They LOVED the Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman games, and could play them well. Bolt just was either too hard or too boring for them to stay interested in. I really feel this was one of those games that was thrown together too quickly.

Comment: I had just seen the movie and really wanted to play the game for wii. When I got home to play it I could not put the wii remotes down. On the cover it says the game is for people ten and up but I taught my six year old brother how to play and he did just fine but did struggle a little. All you Bolt lovers will love this game.

Comment: I rented this game for my 10-year old who was on the couch with a case of the chicken pox, despite the vaccine.

He beat the whole game in approximately 10-12 hours of gaming. So if your kid is an adept gamer and/or 10 and older, this may not be a good investment.

He did enjoy the game and looked forward to playing it, but he really expected it to be longer.
