Summary: LOVED Kevin's other books, but HATED this one.
Comment: First of all, let me say that I thoroughly enjoyed Kevin's other books "Naturals Cures..." and "More Natural Cures...", but this book is an absolute joke. The entire book should have been condensed to about 50 to 100 pages, as Kevin goes on and on about how evil the credit card companies are, and how it's NOT YOUR FAULT because the system is sooooooo unfair. The real gems are difficult to find, because they are buried somewhere in the mountain of fluff.

Kevin's main premise of the book is that credit card companies are evil. Okay, this may or may not be true. But, he also goes on to say that people are not responsible for their own debt... Seriously? Yes, I understand that sometimes unexpected medical bills happen, and people lose their jobs, and bad stuff sometimes happens to good people. But, what about those people who buy big screen TVs that don't need them? Or, the people who purchase the $250k house when they could have easily lived in a $150k one? How about those people who just have to have a new car when they could have purchased a slightly used one? What about those who just buy stuff on credit cards, even if they don't need it?

In this book, Kevin does have some good advice on negotiating down a large, unmanageable debt. He also has some good advice about asking for a lower interest rate on existing credit cards. But, he also fills the reader's head with the idea that he or she is not responsible for anything because the chips are stacked against them.

I'm more of a realist. To be honest, I have debt. My credit doesn't look that great either. But, it was MY fault - no one else can be blamed for my mistakes, forgetfulness and/or bad fortune. Only when you assume all responsibility for your situation can you change it - do anything less, and you will always be the victim. Stick to Dave Ramsey... he is far more practical and effective, and will motivate the hell out of you too.

Comment: I contacted them & asked if I could return the book because there was nothing that meaningful as I already have the information in other books. They said via email to return it to them & all I would be out of is shipping. That was acceptable to me. Than I found out they would not take it back. Shame on me for not doing better research before purchasing. Shame on them for lying.

Comment: Is incredible that with my experience at 40 years old I was still taken for a ride with this book. I started reading it and a lot of the stuff here began to make sense. However,what doesn't make sense is the fact that Mr.Trudeau invites you to his website every opportunity he gets to do so. Once you visit his site then you have to become a member supposedly to get access to secret cures. This is so wrong because he says in this book he's not doing this to make money.So if we are to believe him then why doesn't he make this information available for free. We are already buying his book which according to himself has sold millions of copies at an average of $[...] per book. He's a multi millionaire already. So why keep charging people just to be a member of his newsletter.
People this is a scam. I stopped reading the book when he started to offer all these other products you need to have in order to get better health. (a Trampoline?).
I'm glad all I lost was the $[...] plus shipping on this order. I will not pay any attention to this liar anymore. Please research this person on Youtube or google and you will find a lot of information that will help you make a decision not to buy his books.

Comment: He has been indited by the Federal Trade Commission, just do a google search! He takes a few vague bits of information that sounds like the truth and twists it into a profit making machine.
